  •     I realize that the Cambridge Companion Series is a collection of unrelated scholarly articles on a composer, but the Mozart Companion seemed to have a more coherent flow than the Haydn Companion as well as more relevant supplementary material.
  •     Any book about Haydn is charming. In this book every subject is treated by a specialist. It is a very good introduction to each of them and to enjoy the music of the so called "The Shakespeare of the music" in his tour to England.
